Why Leather
Real leather. Not a compromise.
Every material we tested before this one gave something up. Leather is the only one that didn't.
The Alternatives Weren't Enough
We tried the easy options first.
Synthetic Gloves
Fray at the seams within weeks, trap heat and sweat, and read as beginner equipment the moment you put them on.
Foam Pads
Compress fast under real load. A few heavy sessions in, the padding that was protecting your palm has already flattened out.
Genuine Leather
Holds its shape under repeated load, softens and molds to your hand instead of compressing away, and looks like nothing more than a lifter's own hand.
Why Leather Wins
It gets better, not worse.
Most training gear breaks down the more you use it. Leather does the opposite. The more you wear it, the more it molds to the exact shape of your grip — softening in the spots your hand closes on most, without losing the structure that protects your palm. That's the whole idea behind the break-in period we walk through on our How to Use page.
It also breathes better than sealed synthetic fabric, which means less trapped sweat and less odor building up over a training block — something anyone who's used a cheap glove for more than a month already knows about.
Sourced & Cut With Care
Not mass-pressed. Cut with intent.
Built to Outlast
One pair. A lot longer.
With normal training use and basic care, most customers get [X+ months] out of a single pair — well past what a $5 disposable pad or a cheap synthetic glove holds up for. Cost per training session, it isn't close.
